Graeme Finlay trained as a cell biologist. He was involved in cancer research and taught scientific pathology in the University of Auckland. He has contributed to 100 papers and book chapters in the areas of drug development and cancer cell line behaviour, finally advising a group researching long non-coding RNA. Now retired, he has sought to express an understanding of biological compatibilities with Christian faith. He is a Lay preacher. He has written:
