Dr Sarah Foot is a palliative medicine registrar working in East Anglia, rotating through hospices and acute hospitals as well as teaching Generalism to junior doctors. In the British Medical Association she has been involved with debates on assisted dying and has recently finished a year on their Medical Ethics Committee. She has spoken on dying, and assisted suicide, to both Christian and non-Christian audiences. Sarah has completed an MA in Bioethics and Medical Law at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. Studying at a Catholic university has enabled her to embed Christian theology into her ethical discussions. She lives in Essex with her husband and son, and worships at an Elim Pentecostal Church. Prior to being a doctor she studied Geophysics and could be found working on volcanoes!
