Per is Professor of Comparative Pediatrics and Nutrition at the Dept. Veterinary and Animal Sciences, University Copenhagen. He is both a vet and a human doctor. His research focusses on developmental gastroenterology, endocrinology and nutrition in animals and infants during health and disease (clinical nutrition). while his teaching responsibilities include nutrition, reproduction, development and physiology.
