An Overview of Our Work

We believe that engaging with science in church is not an optional extra. Everyone has questions about science and faith, no matter who they are or where they come from. What’s more, in a 2018 survey, 30% of non-religious people and about 10% of Christians thought the church was ‘not compatible with science’ (World Vision/Barna, over 2,000 non-Christians and 1,000 Christians surveyed). How do we respond to that?

We are very aware that every church leader juggles competing demands for time and resources. So we provide advice, speakers, training and resources to help you engage with science in a ‘little and often’ way, including it in activities you are already running such as Sunday services or small groups.

NEW: Be encouraged and equipped with a new bite-sized resource every month, including short video, article and discussion questions, all relating to an upcoming reading in the Revised Common Lectionary. For early access to this material (before the lectionary reading comes up), plus access to our monthly online catchup with experts on the topic, and full-length videos of interviews with the experts, subscribe to our Patreon platform (£5/month plus VAT).

Our work with churches is funded by small grants, and a number of churches and individual donors. For more information about supporting this work financially, please email development@faraday.cam.ac.uk.
