Abstract: The current climate crisis and environment-related pandemic have pushed our awareness of “nature”, or in biblical terms, God’s creation, into prominent public consciousness and conscience. Christians ought to have been in the forefront of advocating the proper use and care of creation, not just from the familiar starting point of Genesis 1-2, but also from the rest of what the Bible has to say about creation in relation to God, and about the mission of God to bring redemption, reconciliation and healing to all creation (not just human souls). We need to recover our awareness of the cosmic story we are in, and live as those who believe it.
